Roof Restoration Brisbane
A full roof restoration brings a tired roof back to near-new condition for a fraction of the cost of replacement. We connect you with QBCC-licensed Brisbane roofers who clean, repair and recoat tile and metal roofs across the city.
What a full roof restoration includes
Restoration is a complete process, not a quick repaint. On a typical Brisbane home the roofer will:
- Inspect the whole roof and photograph any problems before work starts
- High-pressure clean the entire surface to strip dirt, moss and lichen
- Replace cracked or broken tiles, or fix corroded and loose metal sheets
- Rebed and repoint ridge capping on tile roofs so nothing lifts in a storm
- Re-screw and seal metal roofs, replacing rusted fasteners
- Apply primer, sealer and two top coats of a UV-stable roof membrane
When restoration is the right call
Brisbane roofs cop harsh UV, summer storms and hail. If your roof is structurally sound but looks faded, chalky or patchy, restoration usually makes far more sense than replacement. It is the right option when tiles are intact but the surface coating has broken down, when ridge capping mortar is cracking, or when a metal roof is dulling and showing surface rust but the sheets are still solid.
If the roof structure itself is failing, sheets or battens are rotten, or more than around a third of the tiles are damaged, an honest roofer will tell you restoration is not worth it and quote a re-roof instead. The roofers in our network quote both ways and explain the difference, so you can decide with real numbers in front of you.
Typical cost in Brisbane
As a guide, a full restoration on a typical 3-bedroom Brisbane home commonly lands somewhere between $4,500 and $12,000 depending on roof size, pitch, access and how much repair work is needed before coating. Steep two-storey roofs and badly weathered surfaces sit at the higher end. Every quote through us is free and itemised, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
